Jett: The Far Shore beckons with the secrets of a distant planet and caresses the ear with pleasant tunes, but over time the adventure becomes too monotonous. What is it - the new home of mankind - we tell in the review.

The friv online game from the developer Friv2Online starts off in a big way. Mei, the main character, belongs to the caste of scouts - those who will explore an alien planet, a potential new home for her compatriots who have corrupted their home world with rampant industrialization and destructive wars.

Under exciting tunes, the girl goes to the launch pad, to which a huge spaceship is moored, after which a good thousand years fly by - and this very starship with sleeping colonists arrives at its destination. The majestic opening credits in the style of Interstellar end and the routine begins.

In Jett: The Far Shore, we have to sit at the helm of Jett - a nimble reconnaissance boat on dragonfly legs and an air cushion, with which we will explore the seas and continents of a mysterious planet. Flying is the most enjoyable part of the friv game: the ship rushes across the water surface, revealing beautiful landscapes. The arcade controls are not inconvenient, and all that is required of us is to control the acceleration without letting the engine overheat.

At these moments, you can move the camera as far as possible and let Jett swim freely, merging with the gameplay "flow". Very relaxing after a long day at work.

Alas, no matter how much you want to continue this journey endlessly, the game will make you slow down and start exploring the local fauna, natural objects and landscape. What is tiring is that without facing any serious danger, you just fly from one point of interest to another and scan everything you find. Forget about battles: the maximum that is required of you is to scare away annoying animals with the exhaust of your ship.

In addition, Jett, frisky and rebellious at long distances, passes if you need to slow down his rapid flight. Somehow, it immediately becomes very uncomfortable to control it, and you have to constantly crash into rocks and plants, turn around for a long time and cross the mountains.

And there are also foot episodes when we get out of the boat and explore the new world on our own two feet. It can be both exciting adventures and boring walks, during which almost nothing happens. Combined with Mei's slowness, these sections, along with leisurely conversations with other scouts, feel like an attempt to artificially stretch the passage of a fairly short game.

At the same time, Jett: The Far Shore is beautiful in its own way - in terms of technology, the friv game does not surprise, but it has excellent art design. Its atmosphere plunges into an amazing fusion of fantasy and mysticism, and alien landscapes are sometimes truly breathtaking.

However, this is not enough to seriously interest the player who came for an adventure in which he will be not only a spectator, but also a participant. The game itself does not seem to understand what it wants to be, and therefore you also run the risk of getting confused in it and, not wanting to understand, switch to something else. A hackneyed phrase, but - indeed, Jett: The Far Shore is not a game for everyone. You can enjoy it, but for this the stars must converge properly, the probability of which is vanishingly small.
